TERMS AND CONDITIONS
ISSUE OF INVOICES
Eventual terms and conditions of the client are not part of this contract and will be considered valid only if the translator accepts them in writing.
PRICE
Price is determined according to the latest price list, to the number of standard lines in the target text and is considered as agreed when a job is accepted. If the amount of work is disproportionately high (i. e. researches) or if it is difficult to determine the number of standard lines, an hourly rate will be calculated, according to price list. All prices are net prices.
Special services, which need more than simple word processing (e. g. graphics, complex text designs and data conversions), will be calculated separately, according to the effective time.
QUOTATION
The customer receives binding written quotations upon presentation of the translating text. Final price can deviate by up to 10% from the quotation.
TRANSLATION ORDER
The translation order is considered as issued if the client accepts the quotation.
The source text transmitted from the client to the translator is the basis for the work.
Special terminology or technical argon has to be submitted to the translator by the client at the beginning of the job. The translator has the right to demand the support of qualified subcontractors for carrying out translation jobs.
DELIVERY DEADLINE
The delivery deadline is set in the quotation or agreed between the parties when the translation assignment is issued. For urgent assignments, an express surcharge may be agreed with the client before the order is issued.
The translator delivers the assignment in the form requested by the client; the client is responsible for the text submission.
COMPLAINT
Any complaint must be submitted within 14 days from receipt of the assignment by the client. If the complaint is justified, the text will be revised or, if necessary, retranslated. Any further claim of the client is excluded.
The translator denies any responsibility for hardly legible, unintelligible or distorted texts delivered by the client. Stylistic objections are not defects, such as later adjustments according to company guidelines.
TERMS OF PAYMENT
Invoices are due net 10 days.
RIGHT OF USE
Upon settlement of the invoice, the right of use is transferred to the client.
COURT OF JURISDICTION
The court of jurisdiction is Zurich city. Swiss law is applicable.
